School Support

We know what makes a difference in primary and secondary maths classrooms and have influenced change in teaching and subject leadership in a range of contexts. We can help you to select and combine actions so that you build strong leadership and good maths teaching as part of your plans for wider school improvement.

We work as a team and constantly share good practice and discuss effective strategies. Our work will be guided by a support proposal which will be agreed initially by a school leader. The outcomes of each visit are communicated in a short support log and the work is overseen by our senior adviser.

We do not have magic wand but we do have creative solutions which have worked in a number of schools. Let us help you on your journey to improved mathematics teaching, learning and assessment.

‘We were very pleased with the way your advisor ‘got stuck into’ our issues, including team teaching some tricky classes. This definitely had an impact on our teaching and set up changes for the future. His advice on marking and feedback is being incorporated into our new department policy. I believe it was good value for the situation we were in and his support helped us to prepare for the recent Ofsted inspection which took us out of special measures.’

‘Thanks for the detail in the developmental report. This is excellent and will provide us with a clear improvement agenda. Gold dust. I just wanted to add that we greatly valued your part in the process. Staff commented that they found your manner and feedback very supportive.’
